AIDS Walk Los Angeles Kick-Off Reception

The rebranded AIDS Project Los Angeles hosted the annual AIDS Walk LA Kick-Off Reception for longtime supporters and highest fundraising participants while kicking the fundraising season into high gear at Precinct DTLA. Guests were invited to mix and mingle with other AIDS Walk VIPs, while speeches from ABC’s Ellen Leyva and APLA Health CEO Craig Thompson honored AIDS Walk founders, and sponsors, who include Quest Diagnostics and Gilead.

“We will focus our services on those at highest risk,” Thompson said. “It’s going to be hard, but we have a plan. We know we can do it. And, eventually, we can say ‘We ended AIDS.'”

Guests enjoyed an AIDS Walk themed photo booth complete with props, pets and photography pros. Open bars and catered snacks made for lively commingling. At the end of the evening, guests were sent along their merry way with em=normous swag bags filled with WEN Hair Care, Jackie Collins novels, ABC swag, Time Out Sunglasses and much, much more!

AIDS Walk Los Angeles 2016 takes place on Sunday, October 23 and starts in Downtown L.A.’s Grand Park. There is still time to register! For more information, visit www.la.aidswalk.net.
