Carnivale di Venezia celebrates Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday with a Venetian spirit and celebratory menu – Carnivale style! The tradition of Carnivale in Venice literally translates to “farewell to meat” so Venetian menus during this time feature meat, meat and more meat as towns, villages and communities prepare for Lent…the absence of meat. No need to panic, it’s only for forty days and nights.
