National Stepfamily Day is observed annually on September 16th. Step-parenting has long been proven to be very successful with patience over time. Stepfamily Day recognizes all those who live in blended families.

National Stepfamily Day was founded by Christy Borgeld in 1997 to reminds us that it’s an everyday process, and it can definitely get better, easier, and more rewarding through time. Regardless of one’s opinions on separation, divorce and marriage, step-families have proven that good things can come from a new family paradigm despite the reasons for it.
