While enjoying cocktails and music, Palm Springs enthusiasts, Mid-Century Modern aficionados and L.A. art lovers gathered for the release of SHAG’s latest print “Balcony on Sunset.” SHAG himself was on hand to sign prints and mingle with fans who fawned over the atomic and nostalgic elements of his work.
The new print depicts two ladies in leopard print coats gazing over a Sunset Boulevard featuring the Chateau Marmont, Marlboro and Seagrams 7 signs. In addition to the new print, the night’s “must have” items included the printed lamps, location throw pillows and the “Primal Cuts” print.
SHAG is a lifestyle brand of artwork and merchandise by artist Josh Agle, with galleries in Palm Springs and West Hollywood. The brand/nickname is derived from the last two letters of his first name, and the first two letters of his last name. For more information, visit www.shagthestore.com.
