March 18, 2016 — Classical meets modern edge. Saturation is in. Gold is back! Closing out the Friday night Los Angeles Fashion Week shows, the Michael Sta. Maria collection celebrated extreme opulence inspired from various historical eras.

Guests were mesmerized from the moment the first model walked out on the runway. Flowing hair, glowing skin and haunting makeup added to dark elegance of the designs in the black and/or gold color palette. The gold princess bridal gown, and the prominent gold crowns stole the show.

Michael Sta. Maria is said to be one of the emerging fashion designers of his country and is receiving international recognition, most recently representing the Philippines at The Mercedes-Benz Stylo Asia Fashion Week held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and a successful show in Scotland Fashion Showcase, United Kingdom; last November 2015.
