BRUXIE Santa Monica

Find the luck of the Irish at BRUXIE in Santa Monica this March. From March 3rd through March 20th, for seventeen days in celebration of March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day, the 3rd Street Promenade waffle shop is serving up Irish-inspired specials form Owner & Executive Chef Dean Simon. Traditional Emerald Isle eats meet waffles, in the Corned Beef Bubble & Squeak; warm Boar’s Head corned beef, crushed potatoes and braised cabbage sandwiched between a crisp and airy waffle. Irish Nachos are crispy waffle cut fries topped with cheese sauce, Applewood smoked bacon, sour cream and chives and the luscious Lucky Shake is blended with real Wisconsin frozen custard, peppermint, fresh whipped cream and a lucky four leaf clover garnish. Take the St. Patrick’s Day party to the French Quarter in Downtown Los Angeles. Put on your green and head to New Orleans-style bar, Little Easy to celebrate the Irish holiday. Bar Manager Ally DeVellis is serving up sultry Southern Louisiana sippers that pair perfectly with the Celtic celebration. Death In The Afternoon delivers a fighting Irish punch in a mixture of sparkling wine and green Pernod absinthe and a classic Vieux Carré with a twist is crafted with JP Wiser’s rye, Cognac, sweet vermouth and Benedictine. Jam out to live music by The Flying Column, an “Irish rebel band” that takes Irish ballads and traditional music and blends it with equal parts reggae and jazz from 9:00 pm to 12:00 Midnight. As for a little Gaelic-like grub, Executive Chef Tim Guiltinan is cooking up hearty plates fit for Celtic culture. Indulge in the Pork, Apples & Bourbon or opt for hearty dishes of succulent Roasted Duck with fermented black bean jus, smoked onion, grilled Kai-Lan and creamed broccoli and the Marinated Young Lamb with pepperoni roasted Brussels sprouts and horseradish-Pecorino mashed potatoes.
