Saturday, Oct. 27

White Space has traveled around the country and beyond, but now returns for its Los Angeles premiere. White Space is a short film about the inner struggles of a talented, but unexpected performance poet making his open-mic debut. The film was written and directed by Maya Washington, and produced by Freddy F. Hakimi, Samantha Manalang and Maya Washington.

White Space Poetry Project is an organization built around the short film dedicated to illuminating the poetry, ideas and performance of talented artists throughout the world and culminating in an anthology of poetry, creative non-fiction and art that use white space, literal or metaphorical, to connect to thoughts and ideas. The screening is at 3 p.m. A post-screening reception will be held at St. Felix, Hollywood.
