Sunshine and white puffy clouds welcomed food and beverage enthusiasts from all over Greater Los Angeles to the 2nd Annual Masters Of Taste, hosted by Union Station Homeless Services, on May 7th. The glowing and delicious revelry featured over 80 Culinary, Sweet and Beverage Masters presenting tastings all for a good cause* on the field of the Rose Bowl.
Several of the tastings tents were bombarded with enthusiastic fans searching for delectable delights or hoping for a chance to meet their favorite chef, restauranteur or bartender; may of whom joyously embraced the attention from their fans and turned on the charm. Some of the longest lines were at Alexander’s Steak House, Mama Lion, Dirty Cookie, Claud & Co./Bacchus Kitchen, HACHÉ LA, Miro, SOL Cocina, SpireWorks, Bar Mattachine, Pomp & Whimsy and DesMadre Tequila.
It wasn’t long before the blue skies chased away by a sudden rain storm. Fortunately, most in attendance took it in stride and didn’t allow the elements to chase them or their enjoyment away. In fact, the sudden rain only added to revelry and suddenly shirtless bartenders from Bar 1886 and Bar Mattachine didn’t hurt the liveliness either. All in all the event was drenched in deliciousness!
*100% of the proceeds from Masters of Taste directly benefits Union Station Homeless Services, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to helping homeless men, women and children of the San Gabriel Valley rebuild their lives.
