The Cause
Created by Hamilton-Selway Fine Art Gallery, proceeds from Art Project Los Angeles 2012 will benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles in its efforts to provide “life-sustaining care and comfort to many of the 60,000 Angelenos now living with HIV/AIDS.”
The Setting
Held at the Bonhams & Butterfields Auction House on Sunset, the event was sponsored by Peroni-Italy, FIAT and Clear Channel among many others. The VIP Reception on the evening of Saturday, June 3o, featured open bars sponsored by Smirnoff, catering by Randy Fuhrman Events, and music by DJ Asha with a silent art auction that included a Salvador Dali. The live art auction featured a Warhol and a Picasso among the pieces up for auction.
The Revelers
Celebrity hosts for the VIP Reception included Kathy Griffin (who was also the subject of a portrait up for auction titled “Griffin Pride”) and Alfred Molina. Members of the Real Estate community were also on hand with a strong showing from Prudential Realty Beverly Hills.
