Berkshire Hathaway & Beverly Hills: Celebrating A New Era In California Real Estate

“I would want to be associated with somebody where the financial strength was unquestioned and where the name stood for integrity. What other quality would you want that Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices does not have; and I don’t think you could find one.”

Warren Buffet
Chairman and CEO,
Berkshire Hathaway Inc.

THE REASON The Prudential California Realty Beverly Hills office celebrated its conversion to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beverly Hills and the office’s September birthdays at State Social House, on Sept. 24.
THE REVELERS Dozens of the office’s over one hundred agents, including staff and affiliates attended the celebration hosted by Berkshire Hathaway Beverly Hills manager, Nick Cacarnakis. September’s birthday boys and girls were Jimmy Su, Mike Madekic, Denny Kagasoff, Todd Marks, Sheila Rose, Jourdan Oliver, Laura Rubin and Ellys Cortez. Also in attendance were Robert Eckmann of HomeServices Lending and Jason Garcia of Pickford Escrow.
THE RECAP The rebranding under Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway franchise caused rumors and leaked previews to circulate throughout the Real Estate community in the weeks prior to the official changeover, on Sept. 23. Agents and staff toasted to a “new era in California Real Estate” with Josh Cellars 2012 Cabernet (an homage to the signature Cabernet color of the new brand). Several agents admitted they initially had reservations about any kind of rebranding, but positive responses to the Berkshire Hathaway name from clients and colleagues cancelled those reservations. Similar celebrations and festivities were held by the other 50-plus offices throughout Southern California. State Social House recently opened on West Sunset in West Hollywood, it was formerly known as Red Rock, and features Chef Vernon Cardenas previously of Katana and Pink Taco.
