THE REASON The 20th Annual Toy Box Party brought AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) supporters from all over Los Angeles out in the rain and into the spirit of giving for those affected by HIV/AIDS, on December 13th at The Redbury Hollywood.
THE REVELERS Guests included Andre Pope, Frank Mastronuzzi, Nick Cacarnakis, Andrew Ferrara, Jon Rimer, Florian Gador, Frankie Payne Daniel Calderon, Milton Dellossier, Alfredo Pedroza, Tony Sargent, APLA’s Tarik Yetken and event organizer Ryan Black.
THE RECAP The toy drive coincided with other APLA’s other holiday endeavors like the World AIDS Day Food Drive and the 4th Annual Jolly St. Knickers Run. Guests were asked to bring an unwrapped toy for admission to the event, which would later be distributed to the families of APLA clients as holiday gifts.
Cocktails, and a pop-up photo booth provided plenty of diversion for the crowd, who posed with Santa and his elves, and Santa’s shirtless helper. Due to the sudden rain, most of the hundreds of guests abandoned the outdoor terrace, and quickly crowded the indoor bar and/or huddled as close as possible to Santa’s shirtless helper. It’s a tough life.
