Helping Hands & Hairy Legs: 2015 Men In Heels – L.A. Party

THE REASON   Hundreds of men and women arrived wearing the highest heels their feet and balance would allow to the 3rd Annual MEN in HEELS – L.A. Party (a pre-Best In Drag Show event benefiting Aid For AIDS)  held at NuSpace, on September 19, 2015.

THE REVELERS  Event hosts Ever Salcedo and Jim Allaire assembled a diverse cast of characters which included Drag Diva Hummingbird Meadows, Chanteuse Morganne Picard, Tony Michalski, Rick Moelis, Brandon Petross Oliver, Adam Red Rock, Gregory Flannigan, Thomas M. Swiech, Crystal Lloyd, Oscar Flores Jr., Gabriel Morones, Saul Aguilar and Lulu Salcedo Armendariz as well as the BEST HEELS Contest judges: Dr. Cristian Perez Latorre – International Cosmetic Surgeon to the Stars, Eduardo Lucero – Renowned Fashion Designer, Lu Vargas – Stylist, Runway Coach, Fashion Blogger & Designer and Manuel Acosta – Artist, Visionary & Winner of the 1st BEST HEELS Contest.

THE RECAP  Even before that evening’s festivities several different groups of men ran into each other at Maya Shoes Of Hollywood Boulevard to score that perfect pair of heels in a size 13 or larger. Upon arrival ladies strutted in with their classic and sexy stilettos, while the men stumbled in wearing everything from orthopedic wedges to feathered/bedazzled pumps and boots. Surprisingly out of all the drinks coming out of the open bar, very few were spilled. Highlights of the evening included the performance by Hummingbird Meadows and the BEST HEELS Contest which turned into a  runway show. Unfortunately, there was one casualty during the show. Fortunately, it was caught on camera!
