Philanthropy & Fashion: Glamorama L.A. 2014

Macy’s Passport presents Glamorama Fashion Rocks
benefiting AIDS Project Los Angeles

THE REASON A slew of L.A.’s fashion forward descended upon the Macy’s Passport presents Glamorama Fashion Rocks benefit, on September 9th at Create Nightclub.
THE REVELERS In attendance were the 2(X)IST models, actress Tara Reid, actor/advocate Wilson Cruz, singer Jason Derulo, DJ Paul Oakenfold, and many gorgeous dancers and acrobats.
THE RECAP Guests enjoyed a body art booth, Tallia Orange candy stand, Glam Lash station, open bars and passed hors d’oeuvres by Macy’s Culinary Council Chef Todd English. The unconventional fashion show featured designs from Tallia Orange and 2(X)IST (both brands are available at Macy’s). The crowds went wild when Derulo performed a medley of his hits like “In My Head” and “Talk Dirty,” and they partied the night away with mixes from DJ Oakenfold. Few discovered the American Express lounge, which made for a brilliant escape to breathe and snag a cocktail away from the crowds outside. BTW, the 60’s are back; powder-blonde hair, Afros and refined raunch are the new de rigueur.
