Entertained & Educated: Five Acres’ Swanky Party 2015

THE REASON The mid-century themed summer party was held on the rooftop of the Five Acres Prevention Center in Pasadena, on June 31, 2015. The annual event gathered over 100 friends and supporters to strengthen the community’s knowledge about the Five Acres Permanency Campaign.
THE REVELERS Guests included  BG & Joe Casas, Tina & Jack Forrestel, Nina Lares, Anthony Guthmiller, Boyd Smith, Tom Kazar, Jimmy Fenner, Armen Sarkissian, Art Gutierrez, Derek Hamilton and Sam Consos, with sponsors Podley Properties and Wintrust Mortgage.
THE RECAP Classic 1960s cocktails and hors d’oeuvres swirled through the crowd of guests who enjoyed an address from CEO Chanel Boutakidis and Communications Director Rebecca Haussling, who detailed the new mission of Five Acres to find a permanent family home for every child that enters the foster care system or better yet to prevent a child from ever entering the system in the first place. The evening was made complete with a stunning view of the sunset, the rising blue moon and the music of DJ Amara. Several of the party guests reassembled at AKA Bistro (a portion of the evenings proceeds were being donated to Five Acres).
