REASON The 3rd Annual Rosé Soirée Wine Tasting and Garden Party hosted by and benefiting Professional Child Development Associates (PCDA) was held at the historic Blacker House in Pasadena, on August 6th.
REVELERS Rosé revelers included Tina Forrestel, Maia Giordani, Nina Lares, Chef Claud Beltran, Robert Bain, Chelby Crawford, Gregg Smith, Rachel Rosales, Angelica Rios, Luis Alberto and Brandon Firla.
RECAP The philanthropic celebration welcomed a sea of Pasadena socialites donning hats, cocktail rings and outfits in various shades of pink against the dark palette of the Blacker House and its immaculate gardens. The live jazz band paired beautifully with Chef Claud Beltran’s (Bacchus Kitchen, Tap & Kitchen) seasonal watermelon poke, drizzled figs and speared steaks.
PCDA Executive Director Dr. Diane Cullinane, M.D. spoke to guests — some of whom were unfamiliar with PCDA and it’s work — about the various techniques that are implemented to help children of all ages with a variety of developmental needs.
Supplying the rose-colored glasses in the crowd, sommeliers poured over 40 Rosés from all over the world, including France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain and California. However, many in the crowd fell in love with the environmentally conscious and lovely Austrian Rosé by Stefan Pratsch, said to be perfect for dinner or dessert (available at Bacchus Kitchen).
