Gratitude & Drive: Villa Esperanza’s Party & Book Drive, Villa Esperanza Services, Mijares

“Hope Moves Forward.”

THE REASON  The Villa Esperanza Services Board of Directors hosted a holiday party to celebrate the staff, volunteers, donors and clients at Mijares Restaurant, on December 1st. The annual event also served as a book drive.

THE REVELERS & RECAP   Mijares served up magnificent margaritas and a buffet dinner for the guests, who included Jane and Ken Parsons, Jonathan Weedman, Kelly White, Casey Gregg, Michelle Cox, Gioia Pastre and former board member Rob Berry. Both CEO Kelly White and Board Chair Candice Rogers thanked the crowd of supporters and expressed their admiration for the agency’s clients. The highlight of the evening occurred when some of the clients got up to the microphone and sang “Happy Birthday” to Rogers.

“Forecasting the needs of our clients and taking action to fulfill them has been key to providing Love, Care and Hope for individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities for the past 52 years. We believe that each child, adult and senior that we serve should be able to take complete advantage of their capabilities and live full lives as productive members in their community. At every stage of their journey, we provide education, training and support.” — CEO Kelly White
